Ferren Troy Courteaux, age 52, of Bay St. Louis, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his father, Phillip Courteaux; stepfather, David Carver; grandfather, Joseph Frank Billiot; grandmother, Rita Mae Dion; brother, Robbie Bivens; and his sister-in-law, Jody Courteaux.
Ferren is survived by his mother, Priscilla Ann Bivens; daughter, Celeste Renee Courteaux; stepson, Chad Joseph McDowell; brothers, Perry Courteaux, and Shaun Billiot; sister, Shanell Billiot; brother-in-law, Kevin Ladner; his grandchildren, Valerie Jade Dardar, Weston McDowell, Levi McDowell, and Elliot McDowell; he is also survived by his nephews, Gavin Ladner, Perry Courteaux, Jr. (P.J.), and Austin Courteaux; great nieces, Josie Courteaux, and Ryleigh Courteaux; lifelong friend, Lori Ann McDowell; along with numerous loving friends.
He was a native of Houma, Louisiana. Ferren was a crew boat captain who enjoyed hunting, BBQ, cookouts and was always on his phone.
Ferren was a genuine soul, and a heartfelt friend and coworker. He created memories with those he loved that will last a lifetime and he will forever be in their hearts.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to those who have donated to help the family in this time of need. A special thank you to Tanya Billiot for all of the help and support during these last few weeks.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Waveland. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Lakeshore Cemetery, Bay St. Louis.
