Flora Davis Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 13, 2024.
Flora "Flo" Mae Davis, 87, of Ocala, Florida passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024. She was a native of Fairmont, WV and moved to Ocala in 1981.
She was the daughter of the late Arnold Gothern and Melba Malcolm Davis. She was also preceded in death by her son Frederick Allen Walton and her only sibling John R Davis.
Flo was a dedicated mother of four children, grandmother of four and great-grand mother of seven. She loved her family and friends, sending daily individual Blessings to each one with lots of Vitamin "H". She loved quilting, sewing, cooking and watching game shows. She also loved teaching her great- grand daughters how to sew and quilt. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends whenever she had the opportunity.
She worked in accounting for many years, retiring from AmeriGas Company and again from the Jenkins Auto Group at the age of 80.
Flora is survived by her daughters Faye Lawson and Judi (Frank) McKinney, son David (Mary) Walton, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Mountain Ways assisting TN and NC victims at mtnways.org in Flora's memory.
"Mothers hold their children's hand for a short while, but their hearts forever."
