Florence Belle Klein, nee Watson, of Cuba, MO, was born on August 26,1951 to Benjamin George Watson and Gentilla Henrietta Watson, nee Stein. She passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the age of 73 years & 14 days in the comfort of her home in Cuba, MO.
Florence was one of 6 children. While finishing high school in Cuba, MO, Florence crossed paths with her future husband. It wasn't long after that Florence married Edward Owen Klein, of Steelville, MO on July 19th, 1968. Together, they shared 49 years of marriage before Ed passed away in 2017. During their marriage they welcomed 6 children- Carrie, Kris, Patricia "Trish", Wesley, Jami and Michael. She was a stay-at-home mother who was tasked with one of the most sacred and important jobs - raising her children. She loved her family deeply and made sure each and every one knew it. She knew and loved God, so today she rejoices in their company while those left on Earth will spend their days deeply missing her now. Even in the face of a cancer diagnosis, her faith never wavered. She remained steadfast to the Lord and prayed daily.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Klein; parents, Benjamin and Gentilla Watson; parents-in-law James and Wilma Klein, nee Weber; brother Benjamin "Bengi" Watson, Jr.; infant brother Danny Watson; brothers-in-law Jeff Klein, Larry Duncan and David Adams; and her close cousin, Lynda. She has deeply missed her husband, Ed for a long 7 years as well as her father, Benjamin for over 30 years.
Florence is survived by her children Carrie Noonan (husband Mark) of Rolla, MO, Kris Klein of St. Louis, MO, Patricia "Trish" Klein (companion Jason Harmon) of Steelville, MO, Wesley Klein and Jami Klein both of Cuba, MO and Michael Klein (companion Shonte Addison) of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren, Lonnie Chandler, II., Christina Richards, Brady Noonan, Ethan King, MyKaila Phelps (husband Kelby), Erica King (companion Dakota Romesburg), Justin Klein (companion Grace), Jeremy Klein and Gabe Klein; siblings Theresa Jean Duncan Gordon (husband Bill) of New Florence, MO, Gentilla "Gensy" Lucy Key (husband Frank) of Pinellas Park, FL, Susan Elaine Wynn (husband Don) of Pilot Knob, MO and Cindy Wools (husband Danny) of Cuba, MO; sister-in-law Janet Adams of St. James, MO; brother-in-law Jimmy Klein of Albuquerque, NM; many great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, MO. Celebration of Life immediately followed at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. The family chose cremation as Florence's final disposition and will have a Private Inurnment at Fairclough Cemetery at a later date.
