Florence was born in Liberty, KY to the late Henry Tilford and Mary (Allen) Sharp. She retired from Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital and was a member of Prairie Village United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley David Nichols.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Kennedy (Jerry) and Beth Thornton (Sam); 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and sisters, Phyllis Switzer and Judy Snook (Wally).
Visitation will be Sunday 2pm-8pm and Monday 10am-11am at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. The funeral service will be 11am Monday at the funeral home, followed by burial at 3pm ET at Hawesville Cemetery, Hawesville, KY.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Outreachers at Prairie Village United Methodist Church, 10015 Stonestreet Road, Louisville, KY 40272
