Florian Esasky Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lakeside Funeral Home - Woodstock on Dec. 15, 2025.
Florian Loretta Esasky, 91, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025.

She was born on October 26, 1934, in Wilmerding, Pennsylvania. Florian spent her childhood in Skellytown, Pennsylvania, where she enjoyed running around with her brother and sister. She graduated from North Huntingdon High School, where she was a majorette and voted for "Best Smile."

Florian met the love of her life, Nicholas Esasky, and following his return home from the Korean War, the two were married on May 1, 1954. Together, they began their family in Pennsylvania before later moving to Carol City, Florida, where they raised their 6 children.

Her greatest passion in life was children. This devotion shaped her into the remarkable homemaker she was, not only to her own children, but to anyone who needed a mother. Florian had a servant's heart and used her hands and talents to show her love for people. She loved to sew, creating dolls and clothing with care and precision. Her love for baking was just as evident; she baked cakes for family and friends for weddings, birthdays, and all of those "just because" moments.

Florian also enjoyed being involved in her community and was honored with the prestigious "Mrs. Optimist" Award through the Carol City Optimist Club, an acknowledgment of the woman who truly could do it all.

She was a constant and devoted supporter of her children, attending every ballgame and cheering proudly as she supported her son's career as a professional baseball player. She took great pride in being involved in all of her children's talents and career paths.

In 1979, Florian moved to Marietta, Georgia, where she joyfully watched her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. For those who lived farther away, she happily took road trips to visit them, ensuring no distance ever lessened her love.

A woman of deep faith, Florian loved praying the Rosary. Her nightly routine was to pray for every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild. She was truly a prayer warrior, lifting her family up in faith and love every single day.

In her wonderful 91 years, Florian showed us how to live with kindness, faith, and devotion and how to graciously pass away. She is leaving behind a legacy of love that will endure forever.

Florian was preceded in death by husband; Nicholas Esasky, mom; Loretta Mae Porrovecchio, sister; Loretta Mae Shear, and brother; Ben Blotzer.

Survivors include daughters; Cynthia (Bill) Ewing, Donna Esasky, Kathy Kimbrell, and Sonya (Ed) Mullins, sons; Nicholas Esasky and John (Jacqui) Esasky, step father; Joseph Porrovecchio, grandchildren; Jennifer and Brandon Esasky Baker, Bobby and Jessica Horvath, Justin and Elisabeth Kimbrell, Kimberly Esasky, Cindianne and Jay McManigal, Nicholas and Elise Esasky, Kristen Horvath, Anna and Corey Fritz, Kathryn and Brett Sandin, John Ryan and Laura Esasky, Billy and Nikki Ewing, Luke Kimbrell, Grant and Averi Esasky, Adam Esasky, Wil and Cosette Mullins, Benjamin Kimbrell, Sarah Esasky, Ava Mullins, Joel Esasky, great grandchildren; Graham, Owen, and Declan Fritz, Liam, Isla, and Lucy Ewing, Mae, Eloise, and Callum Sandin, Christopher and Carter Tully, Charlotte, Matthew, Claire, Zachary, Isaac, and Josiah Kimbrell, Skyla, Brinson, and Burkleigh Esasky, Kelby and Cameron Baker, Rain and Lyric, Kinley, Jake, and Emerie McManigal, Emma, Sophia, Ashlynn, Jase, Alec, and Anna Esasky, little angels in heaven; Joshua Esasky, Riley McManigal, and Abigail Esasky. I have loved this lady since the first time I met her! Sonya brought me to meet her probably 44 years ago. Mrs. Esasky treated me as if I were part of the family (another daughter).
I have always been in awe of this beautiful woman who loved her family more than life itself!
My heart is broken over this news but I know God has gained another angel.
I will cherish our memories always and you will be forever missed.
With much love and prayers for the beautiful family you have left behind to carry on what you started so long ago.
Blessings, peace and comfort to the Esasky family!
