Born September 2, 1934, to James Clifton Youngblood and Willie Mae Wheeler Youngblood went to be with Jesus February 17th at 90 years of age.
Flossie grew up on the Sunflower Plantation between Drew and Merigold, MS where she met and married Charles Lee Hannah after graduating from Drew High School.
She worked for many years at the Bank of Clarksdale/United Southern Bank/Regions. Flossie served her community as: American Legion Auxiliary member and president; American Cancer Society of Coahoma County treasurer and board member; Clarksdale Quota International Club president and District Governor; member of the local Selection Service Board; Rolling Along Klub member and president; and, served on various committees and as a Sunday School teacher at Oakhurst Baptist Church where she was a member for 68 years.
Flossie is predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Charles L. Hannah, her parents, sister, Joicy Williams, brother Eugene Youngblood, niece, Clarissa Youngblood, and great-grandson, Christopher Harthcock.
She is survived by her children: sons, Charles Wayne (Donna) Hannah of Lufkin, TX, Greg (Camilla) Hannah of San Antonio, TX, daughter Martha (Mike) Harthcock of Clarksdale. Also, 6 grandchildren: Amber Harthcock of Memphis, TN, Chuck (Carol) Hannah of Poteet, TX, Jim (Manee) Harthcock of Merigold, MS, Jamie (Paul) Faughn of Lufkin, TX, Tyler (Olivia) Patterson of San Antonio, TX, and Avery Patterson of Austin, TX, 7 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home with visitation being held at Oakhurst Baptist Church Saturday, February 22nd at 1:00 p.m. and Services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Drew Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Foundation, or the donor's choice charity.
