Floyd L. Cooley, Jr., affectionately known as "Bud", 74, passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Bud was born in Pensacola on January 29, 1951 to Mary Louise Raybon and Floyd L. Cooley Sr. He graduated from Escambia High School in Pensacola and shortly after, enlisted in the United States Airforce where he worked in aircraft maintenance. After his service, he met and married the love of his life, Lisa, to whom he was married for 46 loving years.

He and his brother's business, The Marble Works of Pensacola, became a staple in the community for 30 years. Bud was known for his charismatic and charming nature, making friends everywhere he went. He was devoted to his family's happiness and set an example of strong work ethic every day. Bud enjoyed collecting all sorts of things but really enjoyed gold coins and guns. He was also thrilled with going fast whether that be in his Camero or on a boat. Bud was a doting "PopPop" and loved playing with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by four of his sisters, Lois "Snooky" Gillis, Kathryn Williams, Florence Newell, and Sonia Jarman; and his only brother, Kenneth Cooley.

Bud is survived by his loving wife, Sandra "Lisa" Brewer Cooley; his sister, Gloria Cooley; his four children, John William Cooley, Jennifer Cooley, Melissa Cooley Seifert, and Vanessa Cooley Finkelstein; and his four grandchildren, Lilah An Seifert, Jake Alexander Seifert, Liam Ash Seifert and Alexander Von Finkelstein.

Bud will be remembered for his high pitch laugh, being a pool shark, a poker player, his very long jokes and the love he had for his family.

A celebration of life services will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery, on Wednesday September 10, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Procession line up will leave Olive Baptist Church - Warrington Campus, 103 Winthrop Ave., Pensacola, FL, 32507 at 11:00 a.m.
