He was preceded in death by his father, great-niece, Mia Richardson, and brother-in-law, Kelly Handley.

Butch is survived by his son, Chance Deal and companion, Ashley, of Squires, Missouri; daughters, Keeley Deal of Springfield, Missouri and Spencer Deal of Niangua, Missouri; mother and step-father, Mary and David Carpenter of Seymour, Missouri; grandchildren, Korbyn Deal, Kaiden Deal, Jagger Deal, Brody Kumberg, Bristol VanBlaircon, and Quincy Kumberg; sisters, Kathy Cook of Springfield, Debbie Letsinger and husband, Elmer, of Mansfield, and Cindy Handley of Battlefield, Missouri; lifelong friend, Scott Newton; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was born in Memphis and moved to Mansfield with his family in 1973, where he attended Mansfield Schools thru 9th grade and then graduated from Seymour High School in the Class of 1984. He was a truck driver during his working lifetime.

Butch enjoyed collecting hot wheel cars and model airplanes. He had a sweet tooth, especially for banana taffy, and decorated jars with pieces of candy. He was very funny, musically inclined, liked to fish, and loved animals, especially his dog Cissy.

Butch was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and a friend to many people. We have many special memories that we will always cherish.
