Roberta Ann Tasich passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born the middle child of Willie D. and Agnes (Atkinson) Smith on February 27, 1938 in Webster County, Missouri.

After graduation from Seymour High School in 1956, she moved to Springfield and attended Southwest Missouri State, (now M.S.U.)

Roberta married Anton Tasich in July, 1970 and they owned Anton's Coffee Shop on south Glenstone for almost 50 years. She retired from O'Reilly Automotive as an Executive Assistant in 1995.

She was a member of Kingsway United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband Anton in 2020, her parents, a brother, Carroll D. Smith and an infant brother Wayne.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Carter, two nephews, Chris Carter and his wife Wendy, and Cabot Carter; a niece, Martha DeVries and her husband Mike; and several great-nieces.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Township Assisted Living facility for the excellent care they provided.

It was Roberta's wish not to have a funeral service. She will be laid to rest with her husband Anton.

A short Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2025 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, MO 65804 under direction of J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville.
