Floyd "Guy" Oliver Duncan, age 87, of Thornville, Ohio, departed this world peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday February 3rd 2024.
He was born on March 7, 1936 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Wallace and Della May Duncan. He was also proceeded in death by 2 sisters, 5 brothers and 2 grandchildren.
Floyd is survived by his; loving wife of nearly 67 years Joyce Ann Duncan, one brother Terry (Patty), sons Guy (Bev) Duncan, Alan (Mary) Duncan, 5 grandchildren and their spouses, 8 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
Floyd served our country for many years and was a Korean War Veteran. He went on to a 30+ year career at Newark Air Force Base where he retired as a Supervisor. Floyd loved family gatherings, gardening, woodworking but most of all he loved to golf. He was member of the congregation at The Gathering church and loved the Lord.
Floyd will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was the best husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather anyone could ask for. He had a giving heart and would do anything to help someone else. Floyd was a true example of what a great man should be and his legacy shows it.
Floyd's final wishes were to celebrate his life so no funeral services will be held, at a later date there will be a celebration of his life.
