With profound peace and Christian faith, we announce that Folashade "Sade" Omoniyi, fondly called "First Lady", a beacon of intelligence and kindness, was called to her eternal rest on September 29, 2025, in Vernon Hills, IL. Born on July 24, 2001, in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria, to Saye and Odun Omoniyi, Sade was a cherished younger sister to her three brothers, Dapo, Babs, and Bola, and a beloved sister-in-law to Nancy. Her spirit and laughter brought joy to everyone.

Sade's early life in Nigeria laid the foundation for her unwavering Christian faith and the gentle grace with which she approached the world. She was consistently at the top of her class throughout elementary to high school, which set the stage for her success at Michigan State University. She also thrived in sports, representing her high school on the girls' soccer team. With her family's support and strong sense of purpose, she excelled both academically and socially, earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Finance and Accounting - both from Michigan State - along with undergraduate and graduate scholarships.

Her academic prowess was matched by her leadership skills, which she demonstrated as the President of the International Students Association and as a key member of the Broad International Students Council's Professional Development Committee. Sade's ability to inspire and mentor her peers was further recognized through her involvement in the Global Spartan Leadership Program.

Sade carried her passion for excellence into her professional life, where she started off as an Audit and Assurance Associate at Deloitte before working as a Senior Financial Analyst at Abbott. Her analytical mind and warm heart made her a respected member of any team she was a part of. Sade's was very proud of her work and her professional achievements were a testament to her intelligence and her commitment to her craft.

Despite her professional and academic demands, Sade found joy in simple pleasures. She was an avid fan of k-dramas, anime, knitting, found solace in the worlds of video games, and cherished every moment spent with her family and friends. She also had a terrible sweet tooth with a specific love for cakes and candies. Her gentle spirit and kind heart made every gathering brighter and every conversation more meaningful.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Sade will remember her for her forgiving spirit and her compassionate heart. She navigated life's challenges with a quiet strength and a smile that could light up a room. She approached every aspect of her life with passion, whether it was in her professional endeavors, her academic pursuits, or the simple act of spending quality time with her loved ones.

Sade's absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her warmth and generosity. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she impacted, the communities she helped build, and the love she shared so freely. We take solace in knowing that Sade's journey was filled with purpose and that her spirit will continue to inspire us all. As we bid farewell to Folashade Tolulope Yetunde Omoniyi, we will remember a soul that will forever remain in our hearts.
