Ford Stanley Ward, age 70, of Pilgrims Knob, VA, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA.
Ford was born on February 16, 1955, in Richlands, VA, and was the son of the late Thomas and Ruby Altizer Ward. He was a class of 1973 Whitewood High School graduate and a coal miner. He was a lifelong resident of the area. He will be missed by all his loving family and friends.

Funeral services for Ford Stanley Ward will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Rusty Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Virginia. Jared Ward, Eric Ward, Ethan Ward, Noah Spurling, Caleb Spurling, and Nathan Brown will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm on Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands is in charge of arrangements.
