Forrest "Bud" Alvin Teague, age 83, of Vandalia MO, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at the Baptist Home of Tri-County.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Waters Funeral Home. Pastor Bob Hoehn and Bro. Kenny Haddock will officiate. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vandalia MO.
A Visitation celebrating Bud's life will be held at 10:00 am, until the time of service.
Bud was born in Farber, MO, on May 23, 1940. The son of William "Bill" and Verdia (McIntosh) Teague.
Survivors include His wife of 53 years, Martha Leota (Kraft) Teague, whom he married on January 11, 1971; three daughters; Marcia Crawford of Columbia MO, Pheobe Wilhelmi of Pontiac IL, Molly (Larry) Stotler of Vandalia MO; One son, Mark Teague of Vandalia MO. Several Grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Sibling; William "Bill" (Deborah) Teague of Mexico MO, Sister-in-law, Mary Jane Teague of Bellville IL, Donna (Claudie) Tipton of Farber MO, Jim E. (Ardis) Teague of Caldwell ID, Jerry L. (Patty) Teague of Mexico, MO, Charles "Ronnie" (Irma Sue) Teague of Springfield MO, Jack (Linda) Teague of Village of Loch Lloyd MO and G. Faye Teague of Overland Park KS; Brothers-in-Law; Allan (Deb) Kraft of Curryville MO, Gordon (Patti) Kraft, Dennis (Susan) Kraft of Vandalia, Darryl Kraft all of Vandalia MO and sister-n-law; Phylis (Ed) Bigelow of Ladonnia MO. Many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) and Verdia (McIntosh) Teague; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis August (LA) and Martha (Smoot) Kraft; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred (Fred) Wilkinson, Jean (Richard) Branstetter, Mary (Bill) Crow and Velma (Robert) Motley. Brothers; Elmer "Mack" Teague and Gerald Wayne Teague. Brothers-in-law; L.A. and Joe Kraft.
Bud attended Farber Schools where he later attended Van Far Schools and played basketball. After High School, Bud went to work at the brick plant in Farber where joined the Steelworkers Union. He retired there after 40 plus years.
Bud enjoyed watching basketball, especially High School and College, watching or listening to the St. Louis Cardinals, taking long walks or riding his bike. Most of all, he adored his family, playing with his grandkids and attending the Teague family reunions.
Pall Bearers will be Tim Crow, Stan Teague, Brian Kraft, Larry Stotler and Rick Niffen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Veronica Crawford, Shane Crawford, Bryleigh Teague, Brecca Teague, Slayde Teague and August Stotler.
Memorials are suggested to the Pike County Loving Care Hospice or the Parkinsons Foundation.
