**************************
Forrest Cain Fox was born on June 24, 1991, in Watford City as the youngest son of Cletus and Philomena "Lisa" (Young Bird) Fox. He received his father's traditional name, "Ahbáaxì-Xobaash" (Holy Cloud). Cain was raised in New Town, where he became the State Champion in wrestling in the Greco-Roman 45 lbs. division. Additionally, he participated in baseball and track, and during his sophomore year, he transferred to Parshall to play basketball with his brothers. Together, they achieved the title of Class B State Basketball Champions in 2007. Cain returned to New Town and graduated with the class of 2009.
Throughout his working life, Cain primarily held laborer positions. He served in the TAT Natural Resources Department and the Tribal Realty Program, and he also worked for 3 Fox Construction and Rural Water at Fort Berthold.
Cain had various interests, including watching UFC, cooking, and fishing. He loved to travel and go on trips with his big brother, Rainbow, aka "Moses". They went all over to watch college and NBA basketball games. They even got to sit courtside and watch his favorite team, the Dallas Mavericks, play in the 2024 NBA Finals. Everyone knows how big of a Mavericks fan he was.
He was blessed with three daughters, Isabella, Aubree, and Carter. He cherished spending time with his children and being a dad. On February 13, 2025, Cain married his soulmate, Tasha Lawrence. He also helped raise Kyrie Irving, who was part of their lives since he was young.
He liked to keep busy and enjoyed assembling puzzles with his mother, building Legos with his sisters, riding around, and listening to music. A movie enthusiast, Cain was known for repeating memorable one-liners. He also sang with the Yellow Face drum group and had an extensive collection of sneakers and hats. Known for his humor, he was often considered the funniest jokester and was genuinely a lot of fun to be around.
In 2012, Cain experienced liver failure and underwent a liver transplant, which provided him with a new lease on life. However, in the fall of 2024, his body began to reject the liver, and he fell ill again. Despite facing these challenges while waiting for a new liver, he remained positive during tough times.
On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, surrounded by his family in a hospital in Bismarck, Forrest Cain Fox began his celestial journey.
