Frances Elizabeth Johnson Baker, 92 of Sanford peacefully passed away Saturday December 13, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday December 23rd at Tramway Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
Mrs. Baker was born in Hoke Co (now Moore Co) daughter of the late James Lauchlin Johnson and Ruth Stewart Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C Baker; son, John Francis Baker; grandsons, Wayne Comer Jr, and Jonathan Comer; siblings, JD Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, and Bonnie Cole; a special nephew, Mark Cole.
Frances was a graduate of Vass Lakeview School and Kings Business College. She loved her Lord and Savior, attending to Church and reading her Bible.
Mrs. Baker is survived by daughters, Debbie Oldham (Eddie), and Lisa Comer (Wayne); grandchildren, Pam Oldham, Daniel Oldham (Katie), and Jillian Chubet (Jason); great grandchildren, Lilli Barnes, Landen Barnes, Millie Oldham, Cora Oldham, Gavin Comer, and Sonya Comer; sister, Lena J. Collins (Gene); sisters in law, Irene Johnson and Wilma Johnson.
