Frances Cornett Amily Joseph 83 of Corbin, Kentucky born May 25, 1942, went to be with our Lord August 9, 2025. She was the daughter of Frank and Fern Cornett of Pine Mountain in Bledsoe, Kentucky and lived most of her life in Harlan County, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Edward Amily Sr.; her son, Frederick (Rick) Edward Amily Jr.; parents, Fern and Frank Cornett; brother Eugene Cornett; sisters, Donna Cornett and Lela Barton; brother-in-law, Harless Von Barton Sr., nephew, Anthony Lambert; Stacey, Rachel (Dolly) and Burley Smith; Polly Ann and John Cornett.
Frances was married to Clemmie Joseph of Bledsoe, KY, who passed away on October 14, 2025, shortly after her death. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Clemmie Jospeh of Bledsoe, KY; brother, James Cornett (Angie) of London, KY; Christopher Cornett, Pine Mountain-Bledsoe, KY; sisters, Connie Lambert (Bill) of London, KY, Darlene Cornett, Byhalia, MS; sisters-in-law, Agnes (Corky) Boble , Phyllis Amily; brother-in-law, Dennis (Dorothy "Dee") Amily; daughter, Tilda Roberts (Billy), Yeaddis, KY, son, Michael (Pam) Joseph, Bledsoe, KY; granddaughters, Miranda (Allen) Napier, Bledsoe, KY, Arabella Napier, Emberly Roberts; grandsons, Billy (Courtney) Roberts, London, KY, Braden Joseph, Bledsoe, KY, Joshua Farmer, Bledsoe, KY; 23 nieces and nephews and many family and friends.
Frances worked as a substitute teacher, a nursing assistant and a security guard for the coal mines over the years, but she was dedicated to taking care of her son Rick, who was in a wheelchair from the age of 10 until his passing in his 50's. She enjoyed making dolls and flowers out of corn shucks and making old fashion lye soap where she demonstrated these crafts at arts and craft shows. Frances will be deeply missed by the many people who loved her.
A celebration of life will be held at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home on Saturday, October 25th at 1PM in the chapel with the Reverends Ken Smith and Gary Lewis officiating.
