Frances C. Douglas, 92, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024.
She was born November 9, 1931 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Veronica (Rodgers) Cole.
A graduate of West Catholic High School, she worked in banking for a time at The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
After her three children were in school, Frances worked at a local daycare and taught Early Childhood Education.
: In 1976 Frances became an international travel agent for Untours. She had the opportunity to create programs and travel to Switzerland where she established housing and transportation for vacationers. The Untours family became an Internal part of her life when she retired.
She is survived by her three children, Debra Douglas Light, Norman Douglas and Francy Douglas-Breon (Cary); four grandchildren, Eric Douglas, Thomas Sanford, Gwendolyn Sanford and Tiffany Sanford and two great grandchildren, Felix and Fiona Jay.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman W. Douglas and a brother, Vincent Cole.
Friends are invited to attend her memorial visitation from 9:30-10:30 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Saxer Ave., Springfield, followed by Mass at 10:30 AM.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that all your beautiful memories will help to heal your hearts. She is resting peacefully with Doug and they will continue their long journey together again. I will always cherish our talks of patience strength and love. She will remain in our hearts forever. Rest peacefully Fran, you will be missed by so many.
