Frances "Fran" "Tee" Carrico Griffin, 77 years old, a native of Jasper, TX and longtime resident of Greenwell Springs, LA, crossed the finish line and joined her Lord and Savior Jesus in Glory on October 24th, 2025. She attended Block High School, Jonesville, LA and was a 1966 graduate of Zachary High School. She attended Spencer Draughon Business College. She worked at the Division of Administration for the State of Louisiana and at Insulation Materials, her husband's company.
Fran enjoyed many activities like her sister's day, spending time with her "lunch bunch" friends, and the Red Hatters. She also enjoyed going to the beach with her family. She was a member of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas, John Bevil Chapter. She was a loving wife, sister, Mama, Mumzie, and a wonderful friend to many.
Fran is survived by her son, Christopher S. Griffin (Theresa); daughter, Brandi G. DeLaneuville (Chad); four grandchildren, Caitlin Shaffett (Austin), Alaina Griffin, Griffin DeLaneuville, and Maci DeLaneuville; one great-grandchild, Tessa Lou Shaffett; two sisters, Nell Denova (Sal) and Normi McLin (Milton); sister-in-law, Bronna Griffin Ray; her fur baby, Coco Chanel Griffin; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Fran is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Alton K. Griffin; and parents, Vernon and Marie Ewing Carrico.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA 70714 on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM, officiated by Brother Stephen Hebert, Live Oak Church, Watson, LA. The graveside service and interment will follow at Azalea Rest Cemetery, Zachary, LA.
Pallbearers are Griffin DeLaneuville, Michael McLin, Clayton Murry, Austin Priddy, Sam Priddy, Jake Ray, Matt Rounsaville, and Austin Shaffett.
A very special thanks to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and Dr. Bienvenue. The family would also like to thank Hospice In His Care and the staff at The Crossing for their excellent care and support in such a difficult time of her life.
