Age 94 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 3, 2025. She was born March 23, 1931 in Minneapolis, MN to Frank and Victoria Handzel.
She was a devout Catholic and a woman of great faith. Frances was a loving sister, aunt and friend. She was a tireless and gifted employee, who worked at the Dept of Weights and Measures for more than 65 years, what an organizer. Always caring and giving, Auntie was a true Santa Claus on Christmas and made sure everybody's stocking was stuffed. She loved her sports and was a loyal attendee; Go Gophers, Go Vikings, Go Arnie and Go Irish! We are all lucky to have known her.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard; brother-in-law, Jerry Hinderman and sister-in-law, Barbara Handzel. Survived by her brother, Buddy; sister, Mary Ann Hinderman and countless nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, June 14th at 10:30 AM (Visitation 9:30 - 10:30 AM) at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church; 835 - 2nd Avenue NW, New Brighton.
Interment Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
