Frances A. Jackson passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 19, 2021. She was born in Hartsville, South Carolina to Bossie and Julia Johnson. Mrs. Jackson graduated from Butler High School and married the love of her life Freddie R. Jackson on September 6, 1959; they have been married for 62 years. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut where she gave birth to their first born baby, Veronica (Ronnie) Jackson-Sebourne. Two years later, Francine Michelle Howze was born. Mrs. Jackson was employed with General Electric of Bridgeport, CT and retired in the fall of 1997. She loved people from all walks of life and she never met a stranger that she would soon call a friend. Mrs. Jackson was a dedicated servant of God. Mrs. Jackson had a host of hobbies to include sewing, crocheting, gardening, singing, and cooking. She was known for making her signature dishes like baked macaroni and cheese and sweet potato pies. In her early years she and a few friends formed a gospel quartet group. Mrs. Jackson began attending Grace Communion International Church (formerly the World Wide Church of God) over 40 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson have been known for opening their home to family members as they moved from other parts of the country to Connecticut. She served as Vice President of Cedar Park for over 20 years. Some of her favorite music includes gospel music to include artists like Lee Williams, Tamela Mann, and James Fortune, and oldies but goodies from the 50's and 60's.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Veronica "Ronnie" Jackson-Sebourne (08/06/1960-02/03/2013); granddaughter, Jynillia L. Jackson (04/21/1981-08/30/2012); mother and father, Mr. Bossie and Mrs. Julia Johnson; aunt, Janie Stevenson; sisters, Adell Thompson, Janie Crummy, and Jessie Gibson; and one brother, Eldon Copeland.
Mrs. Jackson leaves to cherish her memory and will forever be loved by her husband, Freddie R. Jackson; daughter, Francine Michelle Howze (son-in-law, Clayton Howze); grandson, Jovon S. Sebourne; great-grandchildren, Ariana S. Sebourne, Jovon Sebourne, Jr., and Nova-Rae Sebourne; sisters, Alta Mae Bruce and Millie Edwards; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Jackson would conclude every telephone conversation with Michelle by saying "May God watch between me and thee while we are absent one from another."
