O B I T U A R Y
Frances Jewell Larimore Perkins, age 89 of Campbellsville, Kentucky, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 28, 2025. She was born on Saturday, June 27, 1936 to the late Mr. Alonzo "Lonzie" Larimore and Mrs. Bell Page Larimore. She was 89 years, 2 months, and 1 day of age.
Frances Jewell had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greensburg Baptist Church. Being a talented musician, she had enjoyed singing and playing the piano at various churches in Green and Taylor County for many years. Frances continued to play for her friends and other residents while she lived at Bluegrass Way in Campbellsville.
Having earned a bachelor's degree from Campbellsville University as well as a master's degree and Rank I from Western Kentucky University, Frances was a retired special education teacher and worked for the Green County School System. After her retirement, she was a member of the Green County Retired Teachers Association. Frances Jewell was also member of the Fraternal Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #232 and the Greensburg Republican Women's group.
Frances Jewell loved eating out, trips to the beauty parlor, talking and laughing with friends, and going on shopping trips to the flea market. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Frances Jewell is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Jim and Valerie Perkins of The Villages, Florida. She is also survived by a grandson and grand-daughter-in-law: Ed and Sarah Perkins of Orlando, Florida, along with their 3 children and her great-grandchildren: Joy, James, and Marigold Perkins.
Frances Jewell leaves behind a special lifelong friend: Elvira Gilkeson of Arab, Alabama, as well as a special friend and caregiver: Janet Wright of Summersville, and the many special friends, employees, and caregivers at Bluegrass Way in Campbellsville, Ky.

The funeral service for Frances Jewell Larimore Perkins will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Central Time, Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Greensburg Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery. Bro. Todd Young and Bro. Dale Curry will be officiating.
Visitation is requested at the church after 9:30 A.M., Central Time, until time of the service.
Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Greensburg Baptist Church or Greensburg Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
