Beloved mother, sister daughter and aunt passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Bickford of Saginaw Township, at the age of 85 years. The daughter of the late Gordon and Clara (Hyzer) King, Frances was born on December 28, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a 1958 graduate of St. Andrew's High School and also attended Saginaw Business Institute. Joey retired after 30 years in the accounting department at Saginaw Steering Gear. Joey enjoyed golf, gardening, genealogy and crafts. She also had a passion for travel experiences from France, Australia and New Zealand to volunteering at Estes Park in Northern Colorado.
Joey is survived by her children; Paula (Mike) Bafan, Aliso Viejo, California; Peter Binasio, Saginaw. Joey was preceded in death by her siblings; Anita Bobzien and Gene King.
In honoring Mrs. King's wishes, cremation has taken place. Committal Prayers will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Oakwood Mausoleum Chapel. Friends may gather at the Mausoleum beginning at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
