Frances P. Watkins, 89, of Naples, FL passed away quietly on September 14, 2015. Fran was born November 9, 1925 in Lock Haven, PA, daughter of the late Zaccaria and Jenny (Renzo) Pecchia. After finishing high school and while living in Seneca Falls, NY she was employed by GTE-Sylvania Corp. Later she became a member of the start-up team for the Seneca County school lunch program and eventually became manager of the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Elementary School cafeteria. She was an avid golfer & member of the Seneca Falls Country Club. In the winter she also enjoyed some cross county skiing. Fran loved to cook and enjoyed sharing those meals with the special people in her life.
A truly loving wife, mother and grandmother, devoted to her family and her faith, Fran will be dearly missed by her husband of 68 years, Ken Watkins, Sr.; son, Ken (Emma) Watkins, Jr. of Winterville, NC; granddaughter, Melissa Watkins of Orlando, FL; and sisters, Mary Rutter and Theresa Jones both of Harrisburg, PA. In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her sisters and brother; Rose, Margaret and Dominic.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 21st, 11:00 a.m. at Palm Royale Cemetery, 6780 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples 34119. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fran's memory may be made to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Naples, FL 34113 or St. Patrick's Church, 97 W. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148
