Frances Pauline Gilbert Wells, 61 of Brodhead, KY, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025 at her home. She was born on November 9, 1963 to the late Earl Gilbert and Laura Jane Allen Dye. She had previously attended the New Hope First Church of God. She was a seamstress, and worked in many factories. She enjoyed painting, sewing, gardening and canning vegetables, and making crafts to share. She loved watching her favorite show, NCIS, and also enjoyed watching westerns.

Survivors Include:

Husband, Stephen P. Wells

Two Stepchildren, Kurt Wells and Kara Wells

One Step Grandchild, Bryce Wells

Five Sisters, Kathy Frankford, Shona Hill, Sherry Holmes, Edna Dye, and Debbie Harris

Two Brothers, Darrell Williams and Pete Gilbert

As well as several nieces and nephews

Preceded In Death By:

Mother, Laura Jane Allen Dye

Father, Sam Dye

Three Brothers, Earl Eugene Gilbert, Shannon Parker, and Jody Gilbert

Funeral Date & Time: 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2025

Place of Funeral: McKnight Funeral Home Chapel at 147 Main Street, Crab Orchard, KY 40419

Officiating Minister: Bro. Marshall Malone

Place of Burial: Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon funeral time on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel
