Francesco Rosario Tripodi, 89, of Manalapan, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in San Ferdinando, Reggio Calabria, Italia, Francesco lived a vibrant life in Italy, serving in the elite Carabinieri police force, before moving to Bensonhurst, Brooklyn and finally, Manalapan, New Jersey to be close to his daughter Francesca and her family.

Francesco immigrated to the United States as a young man bringing with him the traditions, values, and work ethic of his cherished homeland. His greatest joy though came from time spent with his family, whose lives he enriched with his humor, generosity, and heart. Francesco was often the life of the party, counted on to provide accordion music and animated storytelling at many celebrations throughout the years.

Francesco was predeceased by his beloved parents, Paolo and Teresa Tripodi; his cherished wife, Maureen Tripodi; and his brother, Domenico Tripodi. He is survived by his children, Teresa Giliberti, Jeanne Medwed, Paul Tripodi and Francesca Givelekian; his loving sister, Eugenia Cursi; his treasured grandchildren,

Shaun Giliberti, Farrah Giliberti, Jessica Pagliaro, Marissa Luhrs, Matteo Givelekian and Marianna Givelekian; and his great- grandchildren Gianna Pagliaro, Scarlet Luhrs and Christian Luhrs.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A cryptside service will be held at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery & Mausoleum on Saturday, August 16th at 10:30 AM, with entombment to follow. For directions or to share a message of condolence, please visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.
