Francis George Dadah, fondly known as Frank, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, in Mills River, North Carolina, at the age of 80. Born in July of 1944, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Frank lived a life marked by character, generosity and strength that inspired those around him. A proud veteran, Frank served in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968 and continued to offer his skills and commitment in the Air Force Reserves until 1970.
Following his military service, Frank found fulfillment in his career as a restaurateur. His work in the culinary world was more than just a profession; it was an opportunity for him and his family to travel the world, to bring people together, and create lasting memories. Frank's establishments were places where food and fellowship met, reflecting the determination of his character.
Frank is preceded in death by his beloved parents, George A. Dadah and Winifred Assad Dadah. He is survived by his life partner, Nancy McCurdy, who he had the utmost respect for and his 3 children, his cherished daughters, Jolene Sawyer of Milford NH, Lauri David of Cornelius, NC, and his beloved son, Frank Dadah of Concord MA, who all carry forward his legacy of love and strength. His "stepchildren" Sarah, Paul, Robert, and Allis and their children brought Frank so much joy and love to his life! Frank leaves behind 8 grandchildren who were his absolute joy in life. Lucian, Margret, Sarah, Ella, Eden, Reese Lillian and Page. He will be missed profoundly by his two surviving siblings, Lousia Tellini and George Dadah, along with many nieces and nephews and cousins who meant the world to him.
A Celebration of Frank's remarkable life will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home, with Heather Besoiu, Funeral Celebrant, officiating. Forest Lawn Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family during this time of remembrance and gratitude for the life of a truly exceptional man.
