Francis Joseph Crispo Jr. "Chubby Crispo" of Ambler, PA passed away peacefully on February 21, 2023. He was 84 years old. Francis was born in Philadelphia to the late Francis and Angelina (nee DePaul) Crispo. He is survived by his wife Judith; his children Cheryl (Rich) Baranowski, Francis Joseph lll(Patricia), Ron (Cindy); his stepdaughter CJ Garret; his grandchildren Shay, Drake, Kirsten, Lauren, Devon, Cole, and Gabe; his great grandchildren Benjamin, Regan, and Sadie Ann; and his siblings Ralph Crispo and Mary Griffith.
Chubby Crispo was the dearly beloved husband to his wife Judy who he loved and cherished so dearly. They only knew each other three months when the married. Chubby had three children and Judy had two children. They were married for 48 years on January 6,1975. Everyone who knew them saw the special love, respect and devotion they had for each other. They were always together with laughter and humorous tales to tell. Chubby or Chub acquired his name at the age of two years old and it stuck throughout his lifetime to family and friends, It was always Chubby!
Chubby met a friend Fred Mastroni in the fourth grade and it grew into a strong lifetime of a great friendship until Fred died six months ago. They always considered themselves to be brothers.
Chubby started out in the earlier years as a hard working general contractor. Chubby has always loved music his entire life. The era he grew up in was Rock and Roll and spent time in the Philadelphia recording studio and met many recording artists. It wasn't until the later years in life when Chubby grew to love country music and had a band for four years playing all around the local area. Chubby loved to write music and record them in the studio. He also recorded in a Nashville recording studio.
Chubby did boxing in the army and he loved following boxing his whole life thereafter. I must say he was good at it. He never looked for a fight, but he never backed down.
Chubby was a wonderful happy man, husband, father, and most of all he was a good friend to you. He always had a wonderful outlook on life, never a negative thinking man, always so positive and never afraid of anything. He truly, truly loved his children, grand children and his three little great grandchildren. His wife Judy was his whole world.
There have been so many funny stories told to me (Judy) from so many people. How blessed you were to be Chubby's friend.
He always said that God Blessed him to live to be eight-four years old and he believed in his God and he will be missed by so many. We are all truly lost without him.
Our strong unbreakable love for each other that lives within our hearts and soul will be forever!
All my love forever, your loving wife, Judy.

I always called Him "Daddy Frank the Guitar picking man"although I didn't know him as well as others, throughout the years we seem to hit it off. He could instantly bring a smile to my face when he told stories and jokes. He was fascinating man, talented singer he had a swagger about him that made him a classic a true classic. I'm honored that I've got to know Daddy Frank.... Rest in peace time to celebrate your life!
