Francis Leger Obituary
Mr. Leger, 82, of Pollock, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Riverside Hospital, Alexandria, LA.
He was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church in Pollock. He retired from Pinecrest State School as an Adaptive Equipment Specialist. He was an avid houndsman where his passion was beagle breeding. He was a member of the Cenla Beagle Club and enjoyed attending field trials. He also loved carpentry work. He had a love for baseball and coached many teams at Ward 10 Baseball. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Irene Leger.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of thirty years, Rita Garlington Leger of Pollock; four sons, Michael Leger and wife Kelley, of Lafayette, Mark Leger and wife Erica, of Ball, Kevin Leger and wife Sloan, of Dripping Springs, Texas, and Doug Nalley of Pollock; two daughters, Andrea Nalley Hill and husband Kevin, of Pollock, and Pamela Nalley Walker and husband Ray, of Pollock; two brothers, Robert Leger of Florida, and Ron Leger and wife Pat, of Naples, Florida; nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Jessie Winters, Cody Bladel, Audy Murphy, Charley Posey, Kevin Hill, and Peyton Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Nalley, Kaiden Selby, Caleb Leger, Hunter Leger, and Jake Leger.

A Awesome man who I have known for many years, dating back when me a Mike were is second grade together. I will miss you man , but we will see each other again in our new home not built by human hands.
