In Loving Memory of Francis Peter Ward 10/26/1939 - 9/21/2025
Francis Peter "Frank" Ward was born on October 26, 1939, in Newark, New Jersey, and passed away in San Antonio, Texas, on September 21, 2025.
Frank never knew a stranger as many people can attest to.
Frank had several illustrious careers during his life. He retired as a police officer from New Jersey law enforcement after 25 years of service in various townships. He also retired from the Bexar County DA's Office where he was a lead investigator in the White-Collar Crime Division. He later served the US State Department fulfilling a mission with the United Nations International Police in Kosovo for two years, and then as a mentor to the Secretary of the Interior in Afghanistan for four years.
Frank proudly served his country. He first served in the United States Marine Corps for five years. He then served in the United States Army Reserves, Military Police for 21 years retiring as a Master Sergeant.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Richard F. and Margaret Ward; his son, Richard H. Ward; his brother Richard T. Ward; and his sister, Mary Ellen LaBruto.
Frank is survived by the following people. His wife, Dana Ward. His children; son Andrew Ward (Karen), son Mike Ward (Nicole), daughter Donna Faust (Don), son Joesph Ward (Melissa), and step-son Wes Hughes. His siblings Joe Ward (Beth), and Marguerite Hacik. Frank was also blessed with 11 grandchildren whom he adored and loved dearly, four great-grandsons whom he loved and was so excited about, many family members, and many friends who were like family.
The family requests NO FLOWERS!
Frank preferred donations be made to one of his three favorite charities which are St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, Shriner's Hospital, or Tunnel for Towers.

CELEBRATION 2:00-5:00pm Wetmore Beach House 12329 Wetmore Rd. San Antonio, TX 78247

Mr Ward you're going to be missed but I have such a good time chatting with you every morning at dialysis, for you were an amazing man with so much knowledge so much laughter that it was my pleasure in meeting you. But I know that we will meet again when I leave this world and we will continue our journey with no more pain nobody poking us. But I do miss my best friend but don't worry everyday that I sit there dialysis I look over and I look at your chair and I see you there looking at me and saying how you doing Julie and I'll just wave to you cuz I see you there waving back at me you will be missed but all the people that work that dialysis sender regrets and they all miss you very much but you're in a better place cuz you're not suffering take care of my friend. Simplif Fi.

I will miss Frank´s smile, his witty banter & his vast knowledge of everything. Such a gentleman & great partner for his lovely Dana.
We will all see each other again someday & what a celebration we will have. Until then, Frank, thank you for your service. Semper Fi!
