Robert John Ortiz ("Bobby"), age 45, of San Antonio Texas, passed away on October 14th, 2025. He was born on October 13th, 1980, and was a cherished husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.
Bobby was known for his quiet strength, calm presence and natural talent for technology and problem solving. He approached life with patience, loyalty and a thoughtful mind. He took pride in learning and understanding the world around him and was deeply devoted to the people and pets he loved. Music, fishing, laughter, family and friends were some of the joys in life Bobby cherished most.
Bobby was preceded in death by his sister Ana Victoria Ortiz; paternal grandparents Victor V. Ortiz Sr. and Ramona D. Ortiz; and maternal grandparents Antonio M. Rivera and Louisa M. Rivera
He is survived by his parents, Victor V. Ortiz Jr. and Cecilia Ortiz, His beloved wife Ana Ruth Valdillez-Ortiz, His brother Victor V. Ortiz III (Amanda) and their children Zackery, Isabella, Vicktoria, his sister Cristina M. Villasenor (Daniel), their children Dalilah, John-Luke and Ezekiel.
There will be Rosary and Mass, November 13, 2025 at 9:30 am at Mission San Jose Church, 701 E. Pyron, San Antonio, TX 78214.
Burial of ashes: November 14th, 2025, at 11:00 am at First Memorial Park Cemetery located at 20567 Highway 16 South, Von Army, TX 78073 The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for Robert during his stay at University Hospital. Your kindness and compassion will always be remembered.
