Frank Adair Obituary
By: Allen Hoye
On June 26, 2023, our hearts were heavy with the loss of Frank Adair, a treasured member of the San Antonio community. Frank, aged 78, peacefully passed away after bravely battling a brief illness. His departure has left an indelible void in the lives of his loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Frank's life was shaped by the love and guidance of his parents, Pauline and Roy Adair. Together, they instilled in him values of kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family. Frank often spoke fondly of his childhood memories, cherishing the lessons he learned from his parents, who preceded him in death.
In addition to his parents, Frank experienced the pain of saying farewell to his dear sister, Dessie Cruz, and his brothers, Albert, Jimmy, and Rudy Adair. Frank also carried the weight of losing his paternal grandparents, who were a source of love and wisdom in his formative years. Furthermore, the passing of his grandson, Shawn Adams, brought immeasurable sorrow to Frank's heart.
Throughout life, Frank found solace, joy, and unwavering support in the arms of his loving wife, Vera Adair. Their enduring union of 59 years was a testament to the power of love, commitment, and shared dreams. Together, they weathered life's storms, celebrated its triumphs, and built a foundation of love and resilience that will forever be remembered.
Frank's legacy extends to his children, who will carry his memory forward with love and admiration. His daughter, Dessie, and her husband, Ronni Adams, remained constant sources of joy and inspiration in Frank's life. Likewise, his daughter Nadine and her husband, Victor Martinez, provided him with immeasurable pride and love. Lance Adair, his devoted son, was a pillar of support throughout their time together, the bond between Frank and his son was unbreakable, and the impact he made on Lance's life will forever resonate.
His warm and welcoming nature attracted numerous friends into his life, who became an integral part of his journey. His genuine kindness, infectious laughter, and unwavering loyalty created lasting bonds that enriched his days and brought immeasurable joy to his heart. Frank's friends, both near and far, will forever cherish the memories shared, as they were fortunate to have experienced the light and laughter he brought to their lives.
Frank's greatest joy was his role as a grandfather. He reveled in the laughter, hugs, and precious moments shared with his 12 grandchildren. Their accomplishments filled his heart with immense pride, and their love provided him with immeasurable warmth and happiness. As a great-grandfather to seven beautiful souls, Frank cherished every opportunity to witness the next generation bloom, passing down his wisdom and creating everlasting bonds.
Beyond his immediate family, Frank's presence touched the lives of numerous nieces and nephews, who remember him fondly as a doting uncle. His caring nature, sage advice, and ability to light up a room will forever be etched in their hearts.
