Frank Delgado Arguello, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on the morning of Friday, August 15th.

Born on April 15, 1950, in the small West Texas town of Stanton, Texas, to Seferina and Cruz Arguello, Frank lived a life marked by devotion to his faith, his family, and his work.

Frank graduated from Stanton High School in 1968, where he excelled in athletics and carried that same drive into every chapter of his life. While attending Odessa College, he met the love of his life, Manuelita Alaniz of Odessa, Texas. They married in 1971 and soon began building a beautiful life together, raising five children in West Texas.

Frank worked for Shell Oil Company, serving both in the refinery and as a company firefighter. Later, he continued his career with Amoco Oil. His passion for barbecue led him to open a small BBQ trailer, where he perfected his smoking technique. His brisket and ribs became legendary at family gatherings, a tradition he carried on for the rest of his life. In 1995, after many cherished visits to see his oldest sister, Nena Cordova, Frank moved his family to Austin, Texas, where he earned his real estate license. He sold homes with integrity and heart, helping countless family members and friends find places to call their own. In 2003, after a long hiatus from the oil industry, Frank returned as a consultant for Fluor Corporation, often traveling for weeks or even months at a time. Though he gave his all to his work, his heart remained firmly rooted in his family, and the time apart weighed heavily on him.

Eventually, he chose to retire from the oil industry-but being Frank, "retirement" never meant sitting still. He continued taking on seasonal jobs that aligned with his hobbies, always staying active and engaged in the things he loved.

Frank had a zest for life. He loved traveling across the country and to Europe, exploring new places and cultures. Las Vegas was a favorite destination, where he enjoyed poker, blackjack, and craps, with his signature charm and smile. Frank was a devout Catholic whose faith guided every aspect of his life. He was fiercely loyal to his family, providing unwavering stability and love. He instilled in his children the values of hard work, integrity, and devotion, qualities that continue to shape their lives today. He enjoyed the time he spent with his sons-in-law, whom he treated like his own. Offering advice on how to handle his spirited daughters was, in his eyes, a public service and one he performed with great enthusiasm.

He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and nothing brought him more joy than being surrounded by them.

His love for Manuelita was the cornerstone of his life. Their bond endured through every season and challenge. Frank Arguello leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and loyalty. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Frank is preceded in death by his beloved son, Frank A. Arguello; his parents, Cruz and Seferina Arguello; his great-grandson, James Aiden Krause; and four sisters: Eva Saenz, Josie Armendarez, Sally Hinojosa, and Andrea Aguirre.

He is survived by his loving wife, Manuelita Arguello; his four daughters: Darlene and her husband Brad Coleman of Cedar Park, Texas; Ilene and her husband Steve Klement of Georgetown, Texas; Danielle and her husband Abel Anaya of Cedar Park, Texas; and Lee Ann and her husband Dan Walsh of Boston, Massachusetts. He also leaves behind eight granddaughters, one grandson, three great-granddaughters, his sister Nena Cordova of Austin, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the friends and loved ones who have surrounded us with kindness, support, and compassion during these past several days. Your presence, care and words have been a source of comfort and strength, and we are truly thankful.
