Frank Bisceglie Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 6, 2023.
Frank Paul Bisceglie (95) of Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully while napping on Saturday November 4, 2023. Frank was born on February 8, 1928 in Union City, NJ at the home of his parents Generoso Bisceglie and Mary Chiddo.
After graduating from Emerson High School, Union City, NJ in January 1946, Frank joined the United States Navy. He graduated as a hospital apprentice from the US Naval Training Center- Hospital Corp School, Bainbridge, Maryland in July 1946. After leaving the Navy, Frank attended Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1952. He later returned to Rutgers University Graduate School to earn a Master of Science in Biochemistry/Pharmacology in 1964.
Frank worked most of his life in the Pharmaceutical field in drug regulatory, responsible for Domestic Regulatory issues and Liaison with the FDA for many large companies : Lever Brothers Research, Vicks R&D, Sterling Drugs, Revlon Health Care Group, Zenith Laboratories, American Cyanamid, and Storz Ophthalmics- a division of American Home Products. Frank retired in December 1998 to enjoy more time with family. Frank loved spending time with his grandchildren taking them swimming, to the parks on the swings and feeding the ducks. He also loved spending time with his grand dogs- Arrow and Hunter. He took the job of taking care of his swimming pool seriously. His pool always had crystal clear water and was bug free for everyone to enjoy. During the summer months you could find him at the grill with his secret sauce grilling the best chicken around! He was known for his dry sense of humor and wit, watching his Giants play football and old black and white movies.
He was always the first one up in the morning to get the coffee started and read his newspaper, but also loved going out to dinner (especially for ribs) and breakfast at many of the great New Jersey diners.!
Frank was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife Grace of 69 years, his brother Michael Bisceglie, his sisters Lillian Malizia and Carmella Hunt. He is survived by his three loving daughters, Lori Bisceglie (St Petersburg, Florida), Joni Gartner (Towson, Maryland) and Tami Covington (Point Pleasant, NJ) and his four grandchildren Jessica Gartner, Matt Gartner (wife Jenna), Amanda Covington and Ryan Covington, as well as many loving and caring nieces and nephews.
Frank resided in North Bergen,NJ, River Vale, NJ (where he was active in the Board of Health and Ambulance Corps) and Mahwah NJ for 42 years. He spent the last two years in Memory Care at The Pines in Whiting NJ, where he was so loved and cared for by his many aides, but most especially Erica. She made sure he was always clean shaved, active and happy! She would spoil him by bringing him his afternoon coffee with his special hazelnut creamer- just the way he liked it. His family is so blessed to have had her in his life these past few years - she could always make him laugh and smile! Frank suffered from Dementia the past few years. A terrible disease which robs you of your thoughts and memories. Through it all he still remained the gentle, sweet, loving, funny man with a great laugh. We will miss our Daddy so very much, but know that he is at peace and reunited with his Grace, who just passed away in July.
Private services will be held in his honor
