Frank Edison (Eddie) Harber, of Oxford, Georgia, died the 23rd of February 2025, at the age of 81. Born and raised in Lithonia, Georgia, on January 21, 1944, he was the son of the late Frank F. Harber and Luvie Morrison Pratt.
Eddie was a smart, inventive man who loved to tell you a joke or a humorous story. He was a 1962 graduate of Lithonia High School; He served his country in the U.S. Army; He started and ran his own business for 30 years until retiring in 2006. He enjoyed bird and deer hunting, trout fishing, working on cars, and UGA football.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles M. Harber; his niece, Sabrina Tatum and nephew, Darren Harber. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathryn and his children, Angie and Marc; his sister, Margaret Allen; nieces, Kim Smith and Felicia Swinford; along with great nieces and nephews.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
