Gene "Buck" Howard

Gene "Buck" Howard, age 79 of Lithonia, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Minister Adam Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Memorial Gardens. He was born on March 26,1946 to Barbara and William Howard. Buck was a loving and very loyal husband, deddy and paw paw. He was a 1965 graduate of Lithonia High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army who served during the Vietnam War 1966-1967. He worked for Mitchell Tire Company for 46 years. Buck was always full of stories and life advice and sharing his famous Buck-isms. He loved listening to Country Gold Saturday Night, golfing and singing in the shower, even though he couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. Buck was preceded in death by his granddaughter Mackenzie, son Robbie, sister Robin, brother David, his parents Barbara and William, and lifelong friend, Clinton. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Bernice Howard; daughter; Shannon (Austin) Massey; daughter in law, Aimee Howard; granddaughters, Vanessa (Derek), Jesse (Shaun), and Nikki (Zach); three great grandchildren; brother, Billy (Park); sisters, Linda, Ellen and Peggy; and many nieces and nephews.
