Frank Kiefer

Frank Kiefer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away on November 19, 2024 at the age of 90. A devoted husband to Geneva for 64 wonderful years, Frank's life was a testament to love, family and community. Frank was the proud father of Debbie (Bob) Mann, Sandy (Tim) Korthals, Shari (John) Goldwater, Sheila Kiefer and Paula Townsend. He adored his grandchildren Ryan (Katie), Christina (Shawn), Sarah, Kristina, Stephanie (Matt), Tyler (Olivia) and TJ. Frank's heart was filled with joy as he watched his great-grandchildren Logan, Harper, Sawyer, Hadley, Juniper and Lewis grow. He was predeceased by his cherished grandson Robbie, great-grandson William James and his brothers Martin and Michael Kiefer. He proudly serviced from 1957 to 1959 in the U.S. Army. Frank's love for life was evident in his passions. An avid golfer and bowler, he found joy on the greens and lanes. He had an enduring love for animals and a special gift for connecting with children, always brightening their days with a kind word and candy in hand. Frank was a pillar of his neighborhood, earning admiration and affection from all who knew him. His strong opinions and unyielding stubbornness were as much a part of him as his warm smile and open heart. Frank's memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends and the many lives he touched.Visitation and service to celebrate Frank's life will be held at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Rd. (3Blks E. of Van Dyke) Utica, where family and friends will gather to honor his remarkable legacy. Visitation will be on Friday (November 22nd) from 2pm - 8pm and service will be on Saturday (November 23rd) at 11am at the funeral home. Frank will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Memorial contributions can be made in Frank's honor to the Humane Society of Macomb, humanesocietyofmacomb.org/ reflecting his deep love for animals.
