Frank J. LaBianca 97 of East Stroudsburg, Pa. passed away on Wednesday Aug. 23, 2023. He was the loving husband of Loretta F. (Gentile) LaBianca with whom in Nov. would have celebrated 56 years of marriage. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., he was the son of Vincenzo and Anna (Teofilo) LaBianca.
Frank was residing in the E. Stroudsburg area for the past 35 years and prior to that he resided in the Freeport, L.I., N.Y. area. Frank was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in E. Stroudsburg, Pa. and a member of Our Lady Victory Senior Group and the Golden Travel Club in Bushkill, Pa. He was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He was an army veteran of WWII. Preceding his retirement in 1998, he worked on Wall St. for 20 years for the Merrill Lynch Co. in research on customer accounts and supervisor in government securities. Prior to that he worked as a production supervisor in the recording studies at RCA for over 15 years. Frank was an avid bowler and enjoyed stamp collecting and crossword puzzles.
In addition to his wife Loretta, he is survived by a son Vincent C. LaBianca of Saddle Brook, N.J. and a daughter Elizabeth Ann LaBianca of Lodi, N.J., a sister Marie Ann Scarano of Pearl River, N.Y. and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday Aug. 28, 2023, at 10:30am at St. Matthews Catholic Church 200 Brodhead Ave. E. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360. Final burial will be in the Laurelwood Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Matthews Catholic Church.
