Dearly beloved Frank Lachendro, age 80, of Bethel Park, PA, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2023. Born on July 30, 1943, in Pittsburgh, PA, he is the son of the late Walter and Gertrude (Szybatka) Lachendro. Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Jayne Lachendro; daughter, Wendy Lachendro; sister, Marilyn McClelland; daughter-in-law, Samoeun (Sam) San Lachendro; and grandchildren, Theoren and Lillienne Lachendro. He will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his dear son, Nathan Lachendro, along with his three siblings.
Frank was known to all who loved him as an easy-going, intelligent, and hard-working man that loved his family and all that life had to offer. His passion for golf was evident throughout his life as he spent countless hours perfecting his swing and enjoying the game with friends and family. Frank had an unbreakable bond with his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Rain or shine, win or lose, he stood by their side, proudly sporting black and gold on game days.
Frank was a proud Navy veteran and alumni of the University of Pittsburgh. He and his wife loved to travel, especially internationally. Frank was also a talented amateur photographer who was able to capture many cherished moments. His quick wit and giving and caring nature are qualities for which will be remembered always.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 5th, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA, 15317. A gathering at Atria's, 4059 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317 will follow from 7:30pm to 10:00pm.
