Frank J. Provenzano Jr., 77, of Windham, NH, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at St. Joseph's Hospital, with his family by his side. He was born on August 2, 1947, to the late Frank J. and Bessie (Keiffer) Provenzano, in Queens, NY.
Frank was a graduate of New Hyde Park Memorial High School, class of 1965. Frank went on to receive his associates degree in electrical engineering at RCA Technical Institute in New York. He also attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts.
Frank began his engineering career at Bell Labs in New Jersey and was later transferred up to Bell Labs/AT&T in North Andover, Massachusetts. His professional journey took him to countries within Central and South America and Southeast Asia. After 32 years of employment, Frank retired from Lucent Technologies.
When he wasn't traveling for work, Frank enjoyed fishing on his boat through the Merrimack River, into the Atlantic Ocean. His children will always hold dear the memories of time spent with their dad on his boat. His grandchildren will fondly remember the many moments he played an active and loving role in their lives. He also enjoyed windsurfing and sailing with friends and was an excellent craftsman. An avid hunter, Frank and his hunting buddies would spend many deer seasons together. Every Friday, Frank could be found on the golf course with his two best friends.
With community service close to Frank's heart, he was a proud member of the Windham Lions Club where he served as Treasurer and was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for his exceptional dedication to humanitarian service. He also served as a volunteer for Windham's Shepherd's Pantry. Above all, his family and the time spent with them were always his top priority. Frank will always be remembered as a warm and gentle person.
Frank is survived by the love of his life: Pattie (Vertullo) Provenzano, of Windham, NH; their children: Jason M. Provenzano, of Gilford, NH, and Amber Gagnon and her husband Michael, of Laconia, NH; his grandchildren: Charlie, Samuel, Olivia, and Maxwell; as well as many friends, extended family members, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Frank is predeceased by his sister: Deborah Moore.
