Mr. Frank C. Roublick

ROME – Mr. Frank C. Roublick passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the age of 70, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving family at his side.
Born in Orlando, Florida, on April 18, 1955, Frank was the son of Frank J. and Carol (Mathies) Roublick. As a young child, he moved with his family to Long Island, where he was raised and educated. He was active in Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Lindenhurst High School with the Class of 1973 and went on to attend San Jose State University, where he nourished a passion for track and field, particularly running hurdles, as he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education.
In 1976, Frank was wed to the late former Janet Oftring, and from that union came the blessing of three children.
In 1982, Frank graduated from the Police Academy in Santa Clara County, CA, and began his professional career in law enforcement. Following his time in that field, he transitioned to education, teaching in Los Banos, CA, where he shared his knowledge and experience with his students with great dedication. He later continued teaching in North Carolina before joining the security staff at Santa Clara University, from which he eventually retired. Following retirement, he relocated to Rome, NY, where he has since resided.
Frank was a proud father who had a deep admiration for his grandchildren. He was known for his playful, lighthearted spirit and loved being "goofy with the kids." He had a gift for embellished storytelling and bringing characters to life with his expressive voice and humor.
Frank held a lifelong admiration for classic cars and was especially proud of his 2002 T-Bird, which won numerous awards and trophies for its pristine presentation. He was also an avid runner, cyclist, and fitness enthusiast who valued staying active and healthy.
Frank is survived by his beloved parents, Frank and Carol; daughters, Amanda Roublick and her husband, Chad Seeber, and Katherine and her husband, Jack de los Reyes; and his son, Matthew Roublick. He was the proud grandfather of Evelyn and Annabelle Seeber; and Theodore and Sloane de los Reyes. Also surviving are his niece, Genevieve Roublick and her husband, Joshua Schulte. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Barry, and Cynthia Roublick.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to his dear friend, John Amoroso, for his constant support and assistance through all of Frank's recent challenging times.
In honoring Frank's wishes, there will be no public services. The family will honor his life privately.
