AURORA - Frank A. Zammataro, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 12, 2025.

Frank was born to Philip and Tillie (Fina) Zammataro on November 17, 1937, and grew up in the Murray Hill (Little Italy) area of Cleveland, graduating from Cathedral Latin High School.

Frank was an avid golfer, and met the love of his life, Beverly (Bidgood), in the pro shop at Chardon Lakes Golf Course in Chardon, where Beverly worked during the summer. Both Frank and Beverly graduated from Ohio University in 1963, and Frank was well known for his singing, ultimately being crowned king of the 1961 J-Prom, a large campus-wide event that culminated in a talent show.

Frank’s career spanned five decades, starting as the Assistant Admissions Director at Ohio University. He later worked as the Director of Human Resources for a division of the Mead Corporation and was a Regional Vice-President of Executive Search at A.T. Kearney in Cleveland before founding The Zammataro Company, a retainer-based executive search firm.

Frank lived a life devoted to faith and family, raising two sons, Phil and Jim. After moving from Athens to Dayton, Atlanta and Chicago, the family eventually settled in Hudson, Ohio, in August of 1977. Frank and Bev, along with a number of other couples and Pastor Jim Colledge, were founding members of Hudson Community Chapel, later renamed Christ Community Chapel.

In keeping with his love of music, he started the music program at Hudson Community Chapel and was a loyal member of the choir for over forty years. He was a key part of the men’s octet and was frequently requested to sing for Christmas programs and a large number of weddings.

Frank had a fundamental belief that all a young person needed to be successful was good mentorship. While a volunteer position, upon retirement from his executive search career, he embarked on what he considered the crowning achievement of his lifetime in business, the advancement of the Business Fellowes program for the Ohio University School of Business. In his years focused on the program, Frank fought for the creation, growth and long-term funding of the program and personally mentored hundreds of students who have gone on to do great things in businesses around the world. His love for helping nurture students and establish the long-term health of the program earned him the respect of his peers and a lifetime achievement award from the School of Business. He also served on the Executive Advisory Board of the OU Business School.

Using his extensive history in executive search and human resources, Frank started the jobs ministry at Christ Community Chapel which helped many people through career transitions. He also headed the Greater Cleveland Christian Schools Foundation which provided scholarships for students desiring to attend Christian high schools.

Frank is survived by his wife, Beverly, of 63 years; sons, Phillip (Kathy) Zammataro of Overland Park, KS and James (Mary Beth) Zammataro of Hudson, OH; grandchildren, Madison, Michael, Jack and Mallory, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Theresa Madden.

A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro Street, Hudson 44236, on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11 AM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor, #17, Chicago, IL 60601 or Christ Community Chapel.
