Frankie Aline Blackwell Joseph, 79, of Clendenin, WV, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 2, 2025.
She was born May 25, 1946. She was one of four children of the late Malinda Atkins-Blackwell and Leon "Frank" Blackwell. Frankie was raised and lived in Cherokee / Cobb County Georgia the majority of her life.
Frankie married her second husband Michael D Joseph on October 6, 1983.
Together they had 3 kids (Marsha Joseph; deceased 2000 from cancer); Melanie White (Joseph) and Morgan "Lee" Raines.
Frankie is survived by Lee and Melanie who together have 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and her oldest brother Walter "Gene" Blackwell.
In January 2022 Frankie moved to West Virginia after her grandson Wiley Raines' first child was born. Frankie helped with and spent invaluable time with her great granddaughter Kennedy Raines up until the very last day of her life.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta, Georgia. Interment will be in the Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, Marietta, GA. Stump-Matics Funeral Home is honored to serve the Joseph and Raines families. Online condolences and fond memories may be shared with the family.
