Franklin spent 26 years working as a Mitz bus driver, a job he took pride in and through which he became a familiar and friendly face to many. He enjoyed cheering for the Indianapolis Colts, watching westerns, going to church, and spending time in his truck—something he truly loved.
He is survived by his children, Tonya Smith, Kathy (Bruce) Hartman, and Danny (Julie) Curtis; his brother, Tim Curtis; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Elsie Curtis; his wife, Ruthie Curtis, who passed away in 2013; and his brothers, Donny Curtis and Alton Curtis.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13th, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services, 504 W. 9th Street, Anderson, Indiana.
Franklin will be remembered for his steady presence, simple joys, and devotion to his family and faith.
