Franklin John Lila Sr., age 88, of Port Edwards, passed away February 20th, 2024, at River Run Nursing Home in Wisconsin Rapids.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, 2024, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Feldner Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa, WI. A memorial service will take place Saturday, March 2, 2024, at St. Alexander Catholic Church in Port Edwards, WI at 11:00AM. Father John Swing will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday March 2, 2024, from 10:00AM until the time of service.
Frank was born on December 16th, 1935, to Frank and Johana (Dulek) Lila. He was married to Dolores Severin on July 20th, 1963. Dolores passed on May 27th, 1993. Frank later married Jackie McElvin.
Frank had a lifelong career at Nekoosa Edwards Paper Company. Starting in the finishing department, he advanced to Safety Supervisor, and finally became Superintendent of Finishing and Shipping. He retired on January 1, 1991.
Frank loved spending time hunting and fishing, especially with his sons. One of his favorite pastimes was captaining his boat on Lake Michigan and treating friends and family to fishing expeditions.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; sons, Franklin (Pam) Lila and granddaughter Sophie; Dan (Roberta) Lila, grandson Josh (Rae) Parkinson and great grandchildren, Mya, Declan, and Logan, and granddaughter, Kaitlyn; and daughter Amy (Tim) Osowski, granddaughter Cecelia (Kris) Williamson, great grandson Theo, and granddaughter Anastasia (Bryce) Osowski ; his brother Ken(Carol) Lila, and his sister Marcine (Ronald) Amundson; and four step children from his wife Jackie, Carrie Vidal, Vanessa Kate Vidal, Nicholas Main and John Main.
