Franklin David (Jake) Mullis, 83, a native and lifelong resident of Semmes, AL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, surrounded by his wife and daughter.
Jake was born on November 6, 1940 to Lenzo and Lilly Mullis.
Jake was a graduate of Semmes High School. After graduating from high school Jake went to work for Scott Paper Company. He retired from Scott Paper Company/Kimberly Clarke after 32 years of dedicated employment. After retiring from the paper mill, he wanted to continue serving his community. Jake worked as a school bus driver until he retired from Mobile County Public School System after 10 years of service.
Jake love to travel, especially to the Smokey Mountains, hunt, fish and, of course, Alabama football.
Jake survived by his wife of 60 years Kay Sullivan Mullis and one daughter Vonda Mullis.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lenzo and Lilly Mullis and brother Donald Mullis.
There will be a graveside service on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 10:00 at Springhill Memorial Gardens.
