Frank was a man of many traits, from working at IBM and GE to serving Erie as a business owner of Professional Painting. He loved his Erie community as well as polka dancing and fishing. Also, he had great joy from visiting his family in Costa Rica, those that he loved very much, and visited every time he had the opportunity.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother Alejandro Ortiz, his sister Elisa Cortes, and son Adam Ortiz.
He is survived by his wife Patricia (Gumm) Ortiz, his children Franco Alvarez, Randy Ortiz (Ashley), Jason Ortiz (Amy), Chris Ortiz, Franklin Ortiz, Jonathan Ortiz (Nathalia), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Jenny Araya (Rodrigo R.I.P.), Yadira Duran (Mario), Alberto Ortiz (Sonia), Douglas Ortiz (Zula), and Maria Elena Figueroa (Victor Hugo), and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 10 am to 2 pm at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd.

I am a good friend of the family. I extend to all the family members my deepest condolences. May God welcome Frank into heaven and comfort those who are mourning. It will be a wonderful day when we will be united with all of our loved ones in heaven without any sickness. May God be with all of you.
