Fred P. Snyder, 85, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 at Tidwell Lakewood Ranch Hospice, Bradenton, Florida.

Fred was born in Hicksville, Ohio on December 17, 1938, a son of the late Jessie (Miller) and Nathan Snyder, and one of 7 siblings.

He worked as a mechanical engineer in the field of aeronautics. Fred was awarded 7 patents during his career, but worked equally hard at perfecting his tennis game. He was deeply connected to his family and spent several years in early retirement residing at the family farm. He later moved permanently to the Landings in Fort Myers, Florida, where he continued his
pursuit of tennis and living the good life. He was recognized as a true “gentleman” and always dressed for dinner at the club.
Fred will be sadly missed by his daughter, Debra (Stephen) Short; his companion, Rosemarie Moody; siblings, Ed (Judy) Snyder, Wayne (Shirley) Snyder and Ruthann (Rolland) Clem and a host of nieces and nephews.

His graveside service will be held on Monday, June 17th, at 11am, at the Bethel Cemetery, 16998 C-73, Antwerp, Ohio 45813. The cemetery is located on County Road 192 at County Road 73.

Flowers and other tributes may be delivered Monday, June 17th, 9 AM to 9:30 AM at the flower delivery entrance at the Antwerp Funeral Home.
