Gary Frederick 'Fred' Stanton, a beloved resident of White Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on February 4, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, to George and Beatrice Stanton, Fred cherished his early years in the city before eventually moving to the suburbs.
He is survived by his loving wife Nancy; his daughters Jennifer (Paul) Fuga and Elizabeth (Billy) Kepler; his grandchildren Harrison and Alexandra; his sister Judy (Roy) Hannan, and numerous extended family members and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Stanton.
Fred and Nancy shared a deep and enduring love, creating a warm and welcoming home in Highland where they raised their two daughters. Their residence on White Lake was not only a place of comfort for family but also housed Stanton Business Forms, where Fred worked diligently alongside Nancy for nearly 38 years. Known for his exceptional work ethic and integrity, Fred earned a stellar reputation as the go-to guy in the business community, with clients across Michigan and beyond touting his expertise with the phrase, "Call Fred, he can do it!" Fred was also really talented in many different trades, being able to engineer, fix or create anything he put his mind too.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Fred found joy in simple pleasures such as, boating on the lake, participating in boat parades, and indulging his passion for motorcycling alongside Nancy. An active member of charitable organizations, Fred generously offered his time and resources to those in need. His love for nature, hunting, and loud music (the louder, the better) reflected his zest for life, but above all, Fred was a true Patriot who cherished his faith, family, and country, considering them gifts from God. Upon retiring in 2015, he delighted in escaping Michigan winters for the sunny tranquility of the Florida Keys.
Fred's legacy will be forever cherished by his family-wife, Nancy (Babe); children Jen, Paul, Lizzy, and Billy; his greatest gifts from God, grandchildren, Harrison (Grand), and Alex (Wild Cat). His kindness, dedication, and vibrant spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Services will be held privately.
