Freddie Luther Perkins, 62, of Nicholasville, son of the late Ralph Sr. and Ronnie Perkins passed away on July 17th, 2025 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-Ralph Perkins Jr., a sister Michelle Bowman and a niece Clarissa Perkins. He is survived by brothers Mike Perkins-wife Jennifer, Martin Perkins- wife Georgia, John Perkins-wife Brandy, and a special devoted sister Stacy Perkins-Mark. Freddie was an uncle to ten, great uncle to fifteen and a great-great uncle to two. Freddie started working full time at the age of fourteen at Berry Corporation to help support his family. He was a retired welder. He was a 20-year member of the Nicholasville Fire Department retiring at the rank of Major. Pallbearers are his nephews, David, Chad, Tommy, Aaron, Robert and Jeremy Perkins. Honorary pallbearers are Michael, Martin, John and Stacy Perkins, and Mark Pelfrey. Visitation will be Friday, July 25 from 10:30AM to 12:00PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. Services will be Friday at 12:00PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wilmore Cemetery. This obituary was lovingly submitted by the Perkins family.
