Frederick James Brient Jr.

Frederick James Brient, Jr., 79, of Spring Church, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025.
Born on November 18, 1945, in New Kensington, PA. He was the beloved son of the late Frederick James Brient, Sr., and Helen Rose (Redding) Brient.
Fred is survived by his loving wife since 1992, Cindy (Hartje) Brient, with whom he shared many cherished years. He was a devoted father to Linda Beals, Frederick "Mike" Brient, and Erika Bianco. He was also a proud grandfather to Nicole Price, Richard Beals, Brendan Anderson, and Alexis Anderson, and a cherished great-grandfather to Palmer and Pruitt Price.
Fred was known for his charisma, quick wit, and natural leadership qualities that helped him earn the title of class president of his senior class at Leechburg High School. He carried that same presence and energy throughout his life.
Professionally, Fred was deeply dedicated to his career as a right-of-way acquisition and relocation expert. He achieved the distinguished Senior Right-of-Way Designation and owned and operated a successful right-of-way firm for approximately 40 years. Fred was an active and respected member of the International Right of Way Association, serving on leadership boards at both the local and international levels. His commitment to excellence and service left a lasting impact on his profession and colleagues.
Fred also had a lifelong passion for cars - he loved restoring, racing, and showing them. His dedication and craftsmanship earned him numerous awards, and he took great pride in every vehicle he worked on. Importantly, Fred shared his automotive with his family, inspiring and mentoring them to carry on his legacy with pride and passion.
He made his home in PA, where he built a life rooted in dedication to his family, friends, and career. Fred will be remembered for his kind heart, enduring loyalty, and the meaningful legacy he leaves behind in the lives of those who loved him.
At the request of the family, all services are private, and have been entrusted to the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Apollo.
